The story of IMESA is a success story now in its third generation, where the growth of a solid Italian company goes hand in hand with the past, present and future of a determined Veneto family.
A story started from a far
The first steps
ALBA was the first washing machine constructed by IMESA in 1968 in its first small factory in Santa Lucia di Piave (TV). The story goes that after working non-stop throughout the night, as dawn broke, the first IMESA washing machine was finally ready for delivery to the first customer. Thus the name Alba (“Dawn” in Italian) as a good omen for the years to come.
Italian Market
In the 1970s, IMESA became established on the Italian market.
These were the years of mass tourism and the development of holiday facilities and IMESA identified the hotel sector as its particular market and the washing machine as its particular product.
International Market
In the 1980s, Made-in-Italy IMESA attended its first international trade exhibitions with a range of washing machines and targeting various sectors.
In Imesa, the objective of conquering foreign markets began to take shape.
The spirit and mentality of the Miotto family identified Europe as the “home” market that includes Italy, despite the difficulties of logistics, communication and language of those years.
New Factory
In the 1990s, the new premises at Cessalto (TV) were inaugurated.
The new premises satisfied the need for more space to cope with the increased production.
During those years, IMESA won the confidence of an American manufacturer which entrusted it to distribute its products in Europe. For IMESA, the world was now without barriers.
Technology in progress
Computerised graphics, internet, video games: in the 1990s technology moved fast. TECHNOLOGY IN PROGRESS has been the leitmotif defining IMESA since this decade.
IMESA: the first to mount an electronic circuit board, fit inverters as standard and apply GSM technology to washing machines.
Corporate Maturity
IMESA was ever more projected towards a strong corporate maturity.
In the early 2000s, it defined its product range, deposited patents and experimented with new technologies, such as remote communication between the machine and IMESA via modem.
Smart Years
Machines with touchscreens, production with 3D laser cutting, prototyping with 3D printers – these are just some of the developments accompanying IMESA in a process of rapid and unstoppable growth.
Washing, Drying, Ironing, IMESA offers the market the widest Made-in-Italy range available, with top-level customised services and a long and solid tradition.
50 years of Laundry
Reached the half century milestone, IMESA is led by Carlo Miotto (CEO) and Alessia Miotto. Together they lead the company towards change, respecting the tradition and values that have always characterized the IMESA ethic.
EVOLUTION HAS BEGUN
These are years of evolution, engineering, knowledge. IMESA people are the added value that makes the difference. New products and new services are the result of a mature market awareness. Beyond mechanics and beyond electronics, to develop more and more complete provision.
