D: Mr. Aboud Al Ute, thank you for taking the time to speak with us and for your kind cooperation. Shall we start with a brief introduction of the company?
First of all, I would like to say that it’s a pleasure to contribute to this special edition of IMagazine focused on hotel laundry solutions.
Al Diwan Kitchen & Laundry Equipment was founded in 1990 in the United Arab Emirates. Over the past three decades, we have grown into a leading provider of commercial kitchen and laundry solutions, offering expertise in design, supply, and project execution.
Our core services include stainless steel fabrication, equipment sourcing, full turnkey project management, and comprehensive after-sales support.
With our own manufacturing facility and a dynamic team of engineers, designers, and technicians, we serve a wide range of clients: from boutique hotels to large-scale resorts, restaurants, hospitals, and commercial laundries.
While our primary market remains the UAE, we are actively expanding our presence across the broader GCC region, aiming to bring our expertise and innovative solutions to new clients throughout the area.
D: How do you perceive the Ho.Re.Ca. sector in your region? What emerging trends or shifts in customer needs do you see as the most significant for the future?
The Ho.Re.Ca. sector in the UAE and GCC region continues to experience steady growth, fueled by tourism, new hospitality investments, and a rise in lifestyle-driven developments. In particular, we are seeing a strong emphasis on operational efficiency, sustainability, and automation.
Hotel operators are increasingly looking for energy-efficient laundry solutions, compact systems that maximize performance in limited spaces, and intelligent controls that reduce water and detergent consumption—without compromising on hygiene standards. As consultants and suppliers, we are expected to deliver not just equipment, but fully integrated, tailor-made solutions that align with the unique operational goals of each property.
D: A brief overview of IMESA: products, services, support, people: what you consider to be the company’s main strengths.
IMESA has proven to be one of the most reliable and professional partners we’ve ever had the pleasure to work with. D: Could you share with us the story of some installations carried out by your team that you consider especially meaningful or representative of your work?
One of our recent IMESA installations was at a 5-star beach resort in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE. The hotel manages a laundry volume of 5,000 kg per day and was looking for a fully in-house solution to reduce turnaround times and cut external laundry costs.
We designed a complete laundry layout featuring four IMESA LM85 high-spin washers, two industrial tumble dryers, a flatwork ironer, and spotting/finishing equipment. Thanks to the modular and compact design of the IMESA machines, we were able to optimize the available space while ensuring smooth and efficient operations. The hotel management was extremely satisfied with the energy savings, ease of operation, and dedicated after-sales support, which has already led to further collaboration for their upcoming properties.
Another notable installation was for a business hotel in Dubai, catering to frequent short-stay guests. Here, the priority was fast cycle times and compact dimensions. We equipped the hotel with smaller IMESA washers and dryers (LM26 and ES36 series), which proved ideal for handling their linen and uniforms efficiently, delivering both speed and reliability.
